Community Progress DCC, Inc.
Blanche Learning Academy is a community of children, families and teachers committed to learning and growing through a process of research and discovery. We seek to strengthen our connection to resources in our world, including our community, neighborhood, and city. Our hope is that during their time at beginnings and beyond, children will deepen their love of learning, develop a thoughtful awareness of themselves and others, and have the confidence to pursue their passions.
Shared Governance with Delegate Agency Policy Committee (DAPC)
Shared governance is an essential element of the Head Start model that gives families and community members an active voice in the program, it and supports Head Start’s two-generational approach.
In shared governance, we work together to ensure that quality services are provided to our children and families, which is the fundamental approach to Head Start’s success.
Our Mission At Blanche Learning Academy
The mission of Blanche Community Progress Day Care Center Inc. is to maintain and operate a Head Start/Birth to Five program for children and families who require and are eligible for Head Start and Birth to Five services. Our ultimate goal to provide a high-quality Early Childhood Education Program to teach children from different cultural backgrounds, to think creatively and develop problem solving skills; so that they may succeed in a complex and ever – changing world, and be ready for the challenges of the 21st Century.
Overall, the Blanche Community Progress DCC, Inc. Board of Directors and DAPC oversees and monitors all program activities to ensure the parents have a voice in their child educational development.
