Head Start Program offers strategies for building positive relationships, helping children develop self-regulation and responding to challenging behaviors in a sanitized and safe environment.

Admission into the Head Start program is based on social economic status of parents. It is free.

Skills that Children Will Learn

  • Develop self control and consideration for others when playing in activities
  • Experience confidence in myself and interest in learning
  • Learn to show appropriate behavior in situations
  • Beginning to establish relationships with peers.
  • Exhibiting independence with basic skills in handwashing, using cups, basic table manners, etc.
  • Understanding basic routines within the classroom.
  • Displaying the willingness to help with classroom activities
  • Showing their understanding of emotions.
  • Recognizing basic vocabulary
  • Asking or prompting the teacher for assistance.
