The inception of BCPDCC began in 1974 under the leadership of the late Rev. Hiawatha Carmichael and the administrative staff of the Blanche Memorial Baptist Church on July 17, 1974. BCPDCC was officially located at 201-30 Hollis Avenue-Hollis, New York, serving 80 children.  The incorporation was named “Blanche” in memory of the late Rev. Carmichael’s mother. The BCPDCC, INC. was incorporated on June 6, 1978, as a not-for-profit organization under the leadership of Melvin V. King-late President.
