Important Information
Family Services
Family Service unit work with the families and policy committee to help with enrollment of children into the program. The staff works with families to set goals, conduct meetings with parents committee and DAPC. They also provide resources, training for parents to enhance the capacity of the families we serve.
Nutrition and Mental Health Consultants
Children are served nutritional meals three times daily. The meals are prepared on site on a daily basis to meet CACFP guidelines. A nutritionist consultant is available to review menus and provide training for staff and parent. Weekly menu is shared with parents through posting at the center and also shared with parents via parent square.
Our Mental Health is available to provide services to children, parents and staff. Individual consultation is available by appointment.
Registered Nurse
Oversees children and staff medicals an immunization.
Our staff are well trained through Monthly staff trainings.
Covid-19 Guidelines
Children, staff and parents are required to wear a mask while entering the building. Our custodians make sure the building is cleaned daily and follow DOHMH covid-19 guidelines. All updates from DOHMH and Center for Disease Control are implemented. Our program is wheel-chair accessible.
Board Roles
The Governing Body (Governing Board, or Board of Directors) is a group of volunteers who are legally and financially responsible for their Head Start program. They partner with the Policy Committee to make program policies.
(Policy Committee DAPC) – Delegate Level
The Policy Committee at the delegate level, are responsible for setting Head Start program direction. They approve and submit to the governing body (Governing Board) decisions regarding:
Activities for parent involvement/engagement
Program recruitment, selection, and enrollment priorities
Funding applications and amendments
Budget planning, including reimbursement and participation in Policy Council [or policy committee] activities
Policy Council/Committee bylaws
Head Start program personnel policies and decisions, including criteria for employment and dismissal of program staff
Policy Council/committee election procedures
Recommendations on delegates/service Areas
Health and Safety
Blanche Community Progress Day care center is Licensed by the Department of Health and mental hygiene to provide childcare services to ages 2 – 5years old.
Staff Clearances
All Staff must have security clearance prior to beginning to work at BCPDCC Inc.
